1. Commencement of the 2009-2010 Season
The new season officially commences 1 July 2009.
The Club will be having a sign up morning on Saturday the 11th July 2009 from 8.30 a.m ( when those who train Saturday morning finish their session). We ask you to come along, fill out your Membership Renewal Application and have a pancake or two.
The application form can be downloaded from the Membership page of our website. You can print this out and bring it on the day or you can fill in the form on the day. We would ask that a separate application be completed for each swimmer and parent.
We have had to increase the membership fees due to increase in affiliation fees payable to Swimming Queensland and Swimming Australia and because the training fees do not cover the wages paid to our coaches and due to the fact that we have empoyed a part time administrator. In addition, for the first time in many years we are being asked by Council to pay lane hire charges. The committee regrets having to increase fees, but given these additional charges, we have been left with no alternative but to increase membership fees.
Membership fees for the 2009-2010 season are as set out below
We would also ask that all parents join the Club so as they are covered by insurance, and to ensure that you are not hit with a $2.00 entry charge to come into the pool to collect and/or watch the kids. ( Council have advised that the $2 charge does not apply to parents collecting kids, but this will avoid all doubt). There is no charge for parents to join.
Fees can be paid on the day or can be billed to your next account and payable within 30 days. If you are not rejoining the Club for the 2009 -2010 season, please advise by sending an email to our Registrar Cathy to registrar@miamiswimmingclub.com so as to ensure that you are not billed to your account.
Club gear ( shirts, caps track suits and hoodies) will be available for sale on the day.
